Unit handover decisions
Resolve conflicting landlord and tenant removal instructions
- Unit handover decisions

The tenant may want an item removed while the landlord's handover document says it stays. The demolition contractor should receive one resolved instruction, rather than choosing between two customers' preferences. This is a coordination method, not an interpretation of a lease or legal rights.
Put the conflict on one sheet
Identify the item, location and the two source instructions. Quote only the relevant project references and mark the decision as unresolved. Keep the physical item unchanged while the parties establish who is authorised to decide its disposition.
Separate design preference from authority
A new layout may be easier without an existing partition or service, but that does not establish permission to remove it. Ask the commissioning party to obtain the required landlord or designer decision. Record whether the resolution changes other work or retained elements.
Issue one revised scope
Once resolved, update the removal plan and communicate it to everyone using the old version. Identify any conditions, such as a landlord contractor attending first. Keep the original conflict in the record so the reason for the revision remains understandable.

Include supplier-return items in a temporary installation
For a temporary retail installation, place the display supplier's collection instructions beside the landlord and tenant requirements. Separate supplier-return items, agreed retained fixtures and ordinary building removals. The authorised parties resolve conflicts before the remaining scope is issued. A display left on site is not automatically abandoned or approved for disposal.
