Pool-area refurbishment: ordinary interiors around a retained pool
A pool-area refurbishment may renew changing rooms and adjoining finishes while leaving the pool itself in place. Map those building interiors separately from the pool shell and specialist systems. An ordinary removal package should not quietly become pool waterproofing, treatment or commissioning work.
Divide the areas before choosing removal depth
| Area | Scope boundary |
|---|---|
| Changing rooms | Assessed ordinary fixtures, partitions and finishes |
| Adjacent circulation | Defined finish layers and retained edges |
| Pool structure | Separate professional and specialist assessment |
| Plant and treatment systems | Appointed providers' work, not ordinary interiors |
A finish renewal may leave useful changing-room partitions. A wider amenity refit may alter the room arrangement and expose more ceiling and floor interfaces. Both need a clearly identified retained-pool boundary.
Define the wet-area handover
The designer and waterproofing contractor specify retained layers and the condition needed for their work. Do not infer that a visible tile or finish is independent of the assembly beneath it. The accepted removal stops at the reviewed boundary; uncertain layers are referred to the responsible professionals.
Use interior demolition for the ordinary building enquiry. Siteforce's separate pool-removal service concerns a different outcome and should not be read as a promise that retained-pool integrity is established during surrounding renovations.
Coordinate the closure and receiving sequence
Management and the project team determine closures, access and reinstatement. In an illustrative amenity refurbishment, changing-room joinery and selected adjacent finishes leave after trade preparation, while the pool and plant remain outside the demolition package. The receiving contractors then complete their own repairs and new work.
Neither a swept area nor completion of ordinary demolition establishes that the pool can reopen. The condominium common-area guide places this work within the wider shared-building project where relevant.
Request the surrounding-interior assessment
Contact Siteforce with the location, rooms and layers proposed for removal, retained-pool limit and relevant specialist contacts. Flag any unresolved waterproofing or assembly question before it is treated as an ordinary finish-removal instruction.
