Coordinate an old shed base with a replacement delivery

A replacement shed supplier may have its own base and delivery requirements. Removing the old shed does not establish that its base will suit the new one. Bring the supplier's requirements into the removal discussion so the owner can decide what happens to the base before delivery is booked.

Separate the structure and base

Show the old shed, visible base edges and surrounding access. Record whether the base is proposed to remain or needs assessment. Keep hidden depth, reinforcement and underground services unverified until properly reviewed.

Ask the supplier for its requirements

The replacement supplier should define the support and access it requires. Give those requirements to the relevant contractor rather than translating them into an assumed demolition finish. If a new base is needed, identify who designs or installs it and how its work follows removal.

Release delivery after the interface is checked

Arrange a review of the exposed base or cleared area before confirming it ready. Record what was removed and what remains outside the demolition scope. A cleared footprint is not automatically a supplier-approved installation surface.

Questions about this topic

Can the new shed use the old base?
The supplier or responsible installer should assess that. Removal of the old structure alone does not confirm suitability.
