Removal scope
Commercial flooring removal for renovation projects
Siteforce assesses flooring removal as a defined interior package or part of a broader commercial strip-out. Describe the visible covering, any known layers beneath it and the condition the next installer needs to inspect. Removing a covering, preparing a substrate and removing concrete are different scopes.
Choose the removal depth
| Proposed work | Define before assessment |
|---|---|
| Covering removal | Material, rooms, retained edges and what remains beneath |
| Several finish layers | Known build-up, uncertain areas and intended stopping layer |
| Concrete removal | A separately reviewed boundary and the retained slab or foundation relationship |
Do not infer the hidden build-up from one doorway photograph. Existing material information and the appropriate assessment guide what can be included. Specialist coating removal, grinding and levelling are not promised as part of a general flooring enquiry.
Make the retained areas clear
A sales floor can meet a retained stockroom, shopfront or fixed counter. Mark each boundary and ask the receiving contractor where a workable finish junction belongs. An area measurement alone does not explain those interfaces.
The room-to-room transition guide addresses adjoining finishes. If the new layout removes walls as well, the office refurbishment comparison helps connect floor work to the wider room arrangement.
Separate flooring-only work from a fit-out reset
For an illustrative flooring-only enquiry, a shop retains its counters and partitions while replacing the agreed sales-area covering. The route, edge conditions and fixed obstacles matter. A wider reset also removes the counter and partitions, exposing former footprints that the flooring contractor must review. These two packages can have the same floor area but different receiving conditions.
Furniture movement, disconnected equipment, repairs and new floor installation need named responsibilities. A stripped surface is not an assurance that the new product can be installed without further preparation.
Send a useful flooring enquiry
Request an assessment with the property address, room list, existing coverings, retained fixtures and intended new flooring. Identify the installer if appointed. Use the existing Interior Demolition or Commercial Strip-Outs option as appropriate; discuss any concrete removal separately.
