Restaurant demolition and strip-outs

A restaurant strip-out can remove selected dining-room fixtures or an agreed wider interior fit-out. Siteforce assesses ordinary partitions, fixed furniture and finishes within its commercial strip-out service. Kitchen equipment and specialist systems need their own responsible providers before affected building removals are released.

Describe the dining room and kitchen separately

Start with a room-by-room plan. In the dining area, identify fixed booths, screens, decorative wall assemblies, counters and flooring. In support rooms, list partitions, cabinetry and ceiling finishes. For the kitchen, describe the building surfaces proposed for removal separately from appliances and connected systems.

An incoming operator may retain a working kitchen layout while replacing dining fit-out. Another may require a wider interior reset after equipment removal. Neither package should be reduced to a single instruction to empty the restaurant.

Resolve the connected items

A fixed booth may contain electrical fittings; a counter can connect the dining and kitchen areas. The appropriate trades and equipment providers identify what is connected, what stays and what preparation is required. Gas, refrigeration, extraction, suppression and grease systems are not included by implication in an ordinary demolition scope.

Use the kitchen-versus-dining comparison when deciding the removal depth. The counter service map supports the narrower joinery discussion.

Agree the surfaces left for rebuilding

For each room, specify the finish layers leaving and the retained base. The next contractor defines repair, waterproofing, new services and installation requirements. Siteforce's assessment should identify the accepted demolition endpoint rather than promise a restaurant ready to reopen.

An illustrative selective package could include fixed dining booths, a reception partition and floor coverings while keeping the kitchen enclosure. The project still needs an assessed work route and a clear limit around that enclosure. Continued food service is not guaranteed by choosing selective removal.

Request the defined restaurant package

Request an assessment with the premises location, intended concept change, kitchen and dining extents, retained equipment and the GC or fit-out contact. Identify specialist preparation that is still outstanding. Food-premises approvals, kitchen design and equipment reuse remain with the responsible project parties.
