Demolition before an automotive service-bay refit

A service-bay redesign can need ordinary partitions, finishes or specified concrete removed after the responsible equipment specialists prepare the area. Begin with the new workshop arrangement. Do not treat the equipment programme and the building-demolition package as interchangeable.

Map retained and changed bays

Mark each bay, the intended equipment position, retained rooms and the route required for the project. Identify what is known about redundant bases or floor features and what needs assessment. A mark on the floor is not evidence that the concrete beneath is independent of the retained structure or services.

In an illustrative refit, one bay keeps its layout while an obsolete internal office is removed beside another. A different proposal includes reviewed concrete removal after the equipment provider's work. The second needs a concrete boundary that the first does not.

Allocate the equipment and fluids

Hoists, rigging, fuel systems, fluids and any contaminated pit have their appropriate specialists. Siteforce's ordinary building-removal assessment does not offer those services or establish that the bay is ready merely because the machine has moved.

The responsible project team confirms prerequisites for each affected area. Abandoned-service guidance explains why an old label is not sufficient evidence for an unknown connection.

Define the concrete and partition endpoints

For concrete removal, describe the reviewed limits, retained slab and the next installer's requirements. New foundations, equipment anchoring, drainage and repairs remain assigned to the receiving professionals and trades. For ordinary enclosures, commercial strip-outs provide the service route.

Show the junction between changed and retained bays. The facility and project team determine access or closure arrangements; a plan that keeps one bay does not guarantee its use throughout adjacent work.

Request the released building contribution

Send Siteforce the workshop layout, ordinary removals, equipment-provider contact and unresolved floor questions. If the project is confined to the customer-facing part of the property, use the showroom guide instead of applying workshop assumptions to it.
